About Avasa |
|
AVASA (ah-vah-sah) is an Intensive Ecstatic (5 Rhythms) Instructor, a PURE Foundation facilitator of the Cincinnati Branch, a Professional Fusion Tribal Belly Dance performer/instructor throughout East Cost area since 2003 and the director of Avasa Tribal, and the creator of R&B Tribal Belly Dance. Avasa’s passion for dancing began as a small child at the age of 6 when she began taking ballet. Through the years, Avasa has enjoyed techniques of ballet, hip hop, salsa, choreography and tribal belly dance. And to add to the list, is becoming quite the drummer.
On October 15, 2005 Avasa held her first annual Pink Ribbon Hafla in recognition for those that are living with and lived with breast cancer and has since been able to hold two consecutive Pink Ribbon Haflas (2006 Miami University and 2007 Kira’s Oasis)
Avasa plans to continue her career as a belly dancer while opening her own studio in the near future, and will be teaching and performing in shows all around the United States. Enjoy life and enjoy the dance. Namaste.
